Issued 14th January 2026 – Blue Gem Wind is pleased to confirm it has been awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) in the latest round of AR7 for its floating offshore wind project, Erebus a 100MW test and demonstration project 45 kilometres off the coast of Pembrokeshire.
Having been awarded a site agreement for Lease in 2020 from The Crown Estate and consent from Welsh Minsters in 2023, Blue Gem Wind will continue to progress the Celtic Sea’s first floating offshore wind project. This Government’s commitment and support will undoubtedly help unlock the significant opportunity for floating offshore wind in Wales, Cornwall and the Southwest of England.
