Planned Activity

Retrieval and Redeployment of Metocean Equipment (Wave Buoy)

As per NTM/003 v2.0 (issued 27.08.20), a Floating LiDAR system and wave buoy were successfully deployed within the Project Erebus site on the 30th August 2020.

Unfortunately, data from instrumentation on the buoy has confirmed that the Wave Buoy  broke free of its moorings sometime in the last 24hrs.  It has now been recovered.

It is expected the Wave Buoy will be inspected and then redeployed within the next 10 days. It will be redeployed at the same location (see attachment for coordinates). This is within the boundary of the proposed Erebus Floating Offshore Wind Farm (FLOW) project site.
